Literature Text

Imprisoned I am in a dark cell.

Trapped so long in my own piece of Hell.

Held down I am in a cold place within.

Bound to the ground by chains of sin.

Shackled by fragments of my shame.

They bring to me nothing but sorrow and pain.

The anguish they cause makes my soul sink.

And deminishes my will with each metal link.

Heavy are these chains I bare.

They constrict from my lungs all of my air.

Each link in the chain marks an ill deed.

I wish it lightened, I crave to be freed.

The chains on my body can't be measured by charts.

But they pale in comparison to the ones on my heart.

Dark and twisted are these chains of sin.

Keeping bound the true self within.

Heed my plea and hear my prayer.

I cannot live under another layer.

I pray for an angel to come and save me.

To break these chains and set me free.
I wrote this to describe the weight of past evils people bare and the pain they bring them.

:O I love it! I just noticed this in the gallery :D I think this can be applied to a lot of people who have gone through a lot, it's really deep, my absolute favorite lines are:
The chains on my body can't be measured by charts.

But they pale in comparison to the ones on my heart.

Good read!
